I am interested in understanding the origin and evolution of galaxies like our own Milky Way. I use optical and near-infrared spectroscopic observations of galaxies and state-of-the-art hydrodynamical simulations to understand the how galaxies assembly their stellar mass and chemical content. I am currently leading The MOSEL Survey, with aim to build a benchmark sample of Epoch of Reionisation mimic galaxies (super star-forming dwarf galaxies) to estimate the production efficiency of ionizing radiation and their escape fraction in the “First galaxies”.
My primary research interests are:
- Epoch of reionisation and escape of ionizing photons
- Effect of environment on galaxy evolution
- Mass assembly history of massive galaxies
