Observe The Moon with ICRAR

WHEN: September 14, 2024 at 6:00 pm

WHERE: Yagan Square, William Street, Perth WA, Australia

Join us on Saturday, September 14 at 6pm in Yagan Square for NASA’s International Observe the Moon Night!

We’re busting out the telescopes and hitting the streets of Perth to observe our nearest celestial neighbour!

Come on down to Yagan Square under the digital tower in Perth CBD for a look through our 10-inch Dobsonians – we’ll be checking out all the amazing features we can see on the moon’s surface, from mountains to craters to astronaut landing sites.

We’ll also have real astronomers with us to talk about what we’re looking at and answer all your space questions.

We’ll be around from 6-9pm and will start observing as soon as the moon is visible. Keep an eye out for our telescopes and our glowing red ICRAR banners, and follow us on social media for notifications and last-minute updates.
