Two ICRAR researchers have been recognised in the 2025 Australian Academy of Science Honorific awards.

A/Prof Natasha Hurley-Walker from ICRAR’s Curtin University node was awarded the Nancy Millis Medal for contribution to research and leadership by women in science.

A/Prof Claudia Lagos from The University of Western Australia was awarded the Pawsey Medal for outstanding achievements in physics.

 

 

ICRAR’s Executive Director, Professor Simon Ellingsen, congratulated both recipients.

“Its great to see two of our outstanding ICRAR astrophysicists recognised with major national awards this year,” he said.

“It’s a testament to the quality and impact of their research and the international standing of the work being undertaken across ICRAR.”
