ICRAR’s talented staff and students have published more than 1,000 papers in refereed journals since our launch in 2009, with the 999th to 1,002nd papers published at the same time last week.
From our small beginnings with less than 20 astronomers, ICRAR has grown to more than 150 research staff and students across our two nodes at Curtin University and The University of Western Australia in the past 7 years.
These 1,000+ publications are all in high-impact peer reviewed journals, and many have received significant attention within the astronomy and general community.
Congratulations to all our staff and students, well done on this achievement.
As for which paper was the thousandth, well it could be one of four so we’ll leave it up to the authors to decide!
